A late ripening, sometimes fickle, grape variety usually planted in sparse quantities in its native Bordeaux, Petit Verdot is being frequently made by experimental winemakers further afield, either as part of a blend, or in this instance, on its own. A big, rich wine, the Nuit de Lumières is soft, juicy and fruity - just perfect for barbecues.
