Les Crus de Sud, 2023, Lirac

Compared with some of its more famous neighbours, the reds of Lirac are often softer and far more affordable. Led by Grenache and Syrah, with a dash of Mourvedre, this unoaked, bright ruby red provides a deep aroma of ripe blackberries and sweet spice with a lingering chocolate and red apple flavour with a dry finish. A great match for hearty dishes, including gratin dauphinois.
