Domaine Ternynck Irancy, 2021, Burgundy

This excellent Pinot Noir blend was introduced to us as a ‘Red Chablis’, which piqued our curiosity. Irancy is 10 miles South West of Chablis on the right bank of the Yonne River and the vineyards for the grapes are at altitudes of up to 250 metres where Pinot Noir flourishes. The bouquet is awash with dark berry notes while the palate features floral, liquorice and pepper flavours.
