Ontañón Reserva, 2015. Rioja

Bodegas Ontañón is a fifth generation family owned and run establishment in the Rioja Baja sub-region where their vineyards sit at 800m above sea level in the Sierra Yerga mountains. After a long maceration, the wine spends twelve months in a mix of new and used American and French oak, resulting in a supple, full flavoured wine boasting notes of bramble fruit, plum and blackberry.
