Koudiat by Lavau, 2022, Côtes du Rhône
£12.00
The colourful, expressive label brings to mind the pizazz of Beaujolais Nouveau, but, this is unmistakably Côtes du Rhône as soon as you open the bottle. A bright, juicy wine with bramble fruit, macerated strawberries on the nose and mature red berries, spice and savouriness on the palate. The bottle’s label refers to Lavau’s legacy in Tunisian winemaking in the last century - ‘Koudiat’ means ‘hill’ in Arabic.
