Glenelly Estate Reserve Red Blend 2017, Stellenbosch, South Africa

A beautifully balanced Bordeaux blend from a stellar Stellenbosch cellar. The addition of Syrah here is more in keeping with modern New World red blends, yet it is also a nod to when this variety was a permitted Left Bank varietal (With the global warming linked challenges winemakers are facing these days, don’t bet against a comeback…).
Having enjoyed Glenelly’s wines a few years previously, the opportunity to bring this excellent red into our range was too good to miss.
