Bodegas Ugalde ‘Muerza’ Rioja Crianza, 2020, Rioja

Bodegas Ugalde were one of the founding members of the Rioja D.O.C and have been making wines at their site on the northern banks of the Ebro river since 1882. Made from 100% Tempranillo grapes, the wine is matured in American oak for between 8-12 months, and then further aged in the bottle for a year before release. Red fruits, liquorice, spice, toast and cinnamon abound in this plush, silky Rioja.
