Ad-Hoc ‘Cruel Mistress’ Pinot Noir, 2024, Western Australia
£18.00
Pinot Noir really is a cruel grape variety: It is finicky about its soil types and easily damaged during inclement weather. However, the cooling Southern Ocean breezes and smart vineyard site selection allow Larry Cherubino’s vines to flourish. With deep black cherry flavours mingled with earthy graphite and careful use of oak, this wine demonstrates how wonderful Pinot Noir can be when done right.
The Ad-Hoc brand refers to the wines being for any time and any occasion with the focus on the pure varietal character of grapes grown on perfectly suited plots of land, showcasing winemaker Cherubino’s expertise.
